On that particular page that I linked to, there is nothing special on that page that isn't on others. You might also want to match up the time stamp from when the 500 error was triggered in the Apache error log, with your site's access-logs to ensure the 500 error But now that I went and checked older blog posts, there are a lot that are producing the 500 error. The second issue was that the default image you wanted to display for hotlinking was not showing up.
