I have checked the windows event log, it shows event id 12291 SQLISPackage failed. I fixed my problem by adjusting the permissions for the SQL agent job; I gave it NT AUTHORITY \ SYSTEM and the job completed successfully. Solved! The clues are in the error message Source (SQLISPackage) and Description that starts with “Package …”.
