Jan 18 Upcoming API / Hardware Support Changes Hi Friends, We have seen quite a few threads with people upset and confused about the new warnings in the Blizzard app. Warnings that tell you that your system will be unsupported soon. While this is true in some cases, I would like to provide some resources and advice on how to see if you will still be able to play. Here is a list of requirements and resources to help you find out the state of your computer. OS requirements:   Mac - Users computers will need to support the Metal API. A list of Mac computers that can support Metal . Users should also be on a supported macOS. macOS 10.12.X macOS 10.13.x *macOS 10.14.x *(macOS may not be released by the time these changes go live )*   Windows - Users will need to be on the following OS builds, with the 64 bit version installed, and able to support DirectX11. Windows 7 Sp1 Windows 8.1 Windows 10 How to check if you are on a 64 bit OS. 1.	Hit Windows key 2.	Type “my computer” 3.	Right click this PC or the name you gave it 4. Select Properties 5.	Look at System type ( You will want 64 bit Operating system listed here ) How to see if your Video card supports DirectX 11. This list is not up to date but if you have a card that is newer than the ones listed, it is likely okay. You can check on the manufacture's website to be sure.   Additional information - We have seen cases where having the in game settings changed to DirectX 9 or WoW set to launch in 32 bit mode will cause these errors. Before rolling out the paid chat support, Apple had to develop a new web payment system that would allow it to accept payments through chat and keep user info secure when transferred between support agents, according to our sources. Using the new web payment system, we’re told Apple plans to offer the ability to set up hardware repairs and replacements that require a hold on a credit card or pay per incident fee via chat support. Rather than having to call in, users will be sent a link that’s live for 24 hours in order to complete the payment.
For example, I broke my iPhone 7 screen, and Apple was able to do a same-day screen replacement at the Apple store. I don’t have AppleCare+, so Apple charged me the “full” price for the screen repair, which was $129. But if I’d paid $129 for AppleCare+ ahead of time, the repair would cost me $29. That means I actually paid less for the screen repair out of warranty. But if I broke the same iPhone again within the two years, the second $29 screen repair would put me way ahead.
If the Messages app is not an option, Apple’s support site has detailed instructions for setting up the Mac for sharing in System Preferences and using alternative screen-sharing methods or iCloud’s Back to My Mac feature (until Back to My Mac is discontinued in the next version of the operating system). If you are remotely trying to configure settings on someone else’s Mac and you both have iOS devices, Apple’s FaceTime video chat app can be helpful for visual cues walking someone through setup steps; Microsoft Skype users can also share screens for visual reference.

Nov 3 Frequent Disconnects Hello I'm a mac player and I'm experiencing frequent disconnections (4-10 times an hour) and I don't know why. My PS4 and everything else I've tried on this mac so far have been working fine without any disconnection issue and I'm using a wired connection so I think it's safe to assume that its not a problem with my internet service provider. I have tried troubleshooting steps listed on various other past posts here so I'll detail what I've done here: - Reset UI - Tried turning off something in system settings (can't remember what but it was on a page with three other things and it said turning it off may help with disconnection issues.) - Tried logging out and back into blizzard client. - Tried logging closing then reopening wow - Tried turning computer on and off again. If I could get a fix as soon as possible that'd be great! I'm looking to get into mythic plus and maybe some RBG's so this is obviously a problem with it happening so frequently. If it helps the issue seems to happen much more frequently when I'm in an instance. I've been dc'd only a handful of times while questing while I'd say a majority of instances I join I'm disconnected from at least once. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!Esos5 Nov 3


Nov 4 Classic demo won't launch (solved) I'm having trouble launching the Blizzcon demo client. I've tried multiple reinstalls of the game and also reinstalling the entire Battle.net client, however it seems to stick on "World of Warcraft is performing initial setup of required game files". However, if by "power of positivity" you mean condescending attitude, providing cookie cutter replies to one's questions for the sole purpose of diverting the issues, and overall being insincere and shifting the responsibility of the problem onto the consumer, well, yes, Apple is at the top of the list. The so called "Genius Bar" is useless and its geniusless techs feign ignorance of problems which are listed in the millions on a basic online search. As others have already pointed out, I have been a faithful Apple customer for many years, but the lack of "customer service" (ie: "resolving problems") leads me to say Apple no more.
