AppleCare is transferable! If you’re selling an Apple product before the included AppleCare plan expires, the buyer gets the remaining protection. If you buy an extended AppleCare+ plan and then sell the product, the remaining time left in the AppleCare+ goes along with it. So AppleCare+ can be a selling point when you’re unloading your used devices on the secondary market!

Nov 11 10-18 FPS When Fighting Raid Boss Can someone explain to me why am I able to get around 60 fps steadily out in the open world and dungeons, but in Uldir on boss fights my fps drastically drops down to 10-18 fps? BTW I'm playing on the lowest graphic settings in the system menu for Raids. If I'm able to play modern games on my bootcamp partition on Ultra settings and get a steady 60 fps if not more, then darn I should be able to play a game that's over 10 years old, or at least you would think. I simply can't say enough about Shiva and his staff at Marin Mac Tech. My main design computer (27" i7) had a hard drive meltdown... and although I back up all client files to my server, there was a ton of stuff on the i7 that hadn't been backed up. Shiva worked miracles and was able to recover most of the data, and got me up and running quickly with a new SSD drive installed with the latest OS X. I'm telling you, if you need a company that knows its $hit and can get the job done for a reasonable cost, Shiva and Marin Mac Tech is the place to go. I'm having them come upgrade my server next week! Five Stars!

Nov 5 Razer Naga wheel-tilt not recognized properly Hi, all. Short version: My Razer Naga 2014 has a wheel-tilt feature that was previously recognized by WoW independent of the scroll and click functions, but WoW now sees the right tilt as scroll up and the left tilt as scroll down and no tweaks I done in-game or in Synapse have corrected the issue. Extra details: I'm running a late '09 iMac with OS 10.9.7. Had the mouse ~3 weeks now, and it also had the issue where modifier keys wouldn't work in conjunction with the mouse buttons in WoW. I also have Synapse downloaded, as mentioned, but have avoided using it as I rather dislike the program. If any other info's necessary, let me know! I posted here as I wasn't sure that it belonged anywhere else, and a half-hour of searching failed to turn up anything useful, forums or otherwise. Thanks in advance.Rhakkash13 Nov 5


Nov 7 PTR Wont launch. So for the last week when ptr was down, I've been able to launch the ptr client and check. But after the recent build update, the game simply won't launch, either through the desktop client or through opening the game itself from the install folders. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, and now I don't have the same ability to open through the folders as before, it seems the ptr client just didn't download when I reinstalled? I've scanned for repairs and it says that its fine, the game is up to date, but it just won't open. Any thoughts to what might be doing this?Yuleí1 Nov 7

Then there is the other part of the MBP with the packages that are sent to your computer without your knowledge that they contain emedded URLs. A collection of the URLs revealed to me the real Apple Cloud is a small group of servers in the Netherlands, not owned by Apple, that get your Cloud data. So if you don't mind your personal data in the cloud going to the Netherlands that should be OK, but of course, Apple won't admit that either.
These bogus Tech Support alerts are shown in such a way as to trick the user into thinking their computer has crashed or that a virus has been detected on the computer. It does this to try and scare the infected user into calling one of the listed numbers in order to receive support. In reality, though, they will only be greeted with people who are trying to sell them unneeded support contracts and services.

Nov 6 mojave causing wow to crash I've been playing since release, and upgraded to Mojave last night. Wow crashes every 5 minutes now. (The screen freezes and the "rainbow wheel of death" happens. I have to force-quit) Graphics set to minimum, all addons are updated, and im using a 27 inch late 2013 imac dektop with 8 gigs of ram. Anyone else have this problem?Axiss17 Nov 6
2 years ago I wrote a review regarding Marin Mac Tech.  I have continued to use them with total satisfaction ever since.  Recently I realized that most of my tech stuff was so old and out of date that some of it would no longer update.  I decided to bite the bullet and get a new iPhone, iPad, MacBook Pro and a new 27 in. iMac.  I wanted them to all be in sync.  Over the past 2 years Shiva has become familiar with my tech use and needs so I called on him to guide me through making the best choices and to order any extras as far as storage and memory were concerned.  Once purchased from the Apple Store via Marin Mac Tech, he backed up everything from my old equipment to my new.  No easy task as I am a hoarder of photos and information as well as emails and don't like to lose anything.  Along the way he eliminated some bad malware that had crept into my old computers.  I must admit there was quite a bit of adjustment to be made on my part as a lot of stuff was new to me and I kept getting messages regarding things that needed to be done.  Shiva was on call, both in person and via remote access, to shepherd me through the transition period.  I could not have done it without him.  He is a definite wizard when it comes to all things tech.  He does not fool around, gets right to the problem and fixes it and helped me to understand what I need to do along the way.   All of the people I have dealt with at Marin Mac Tech the past 2 years have been a pleasure to deal with and when it comes to tech help, Shiva is the man!  We are lucky to have such a reliable outfit in Marin to call on for our tech support.
Nov 12 Insufficient Disk Space Hi, I'm playing on a Macbook Pro with a very small SSD and only had about ~10 GB of disk space on the SSD that WoW is installed on. However, starting today whenever WoW is open, this space is rapidly depleted and wow freezes when this is complete. I am sure this is related to WoW since this space is returned a few minutes after I close WoW and bnet. Thanks for any help!Ayrithialya4 Nov 12

I have had my eyes on a Macbook for the longest time now but that pricing at Best Buy (no different than the Apple Store) was just too much for a 13" & on top of that, there's the tax! 6d USB Wireless Mouse sporadically unresponsive I have a Macbook Pro 15 inch (2007) running OS 10.14 with the following specs: 2.9 GHz Intel Core i7 16 GB ram Radeon Pro 560 4096 MB Intel HD Graphics 630 1536 MB I have a TrippLite USB hub to connect my peripherals (currently just my Verbatim Wireless Mouse and an External Monitor via VGA) since this macbook only has thunderbolt ports. However, when I am playing WoW my mouse will randomly become unresponsive. It doesn't seem to be anything in particular that causes it and the length of time the mouse is unresponsive varies. I have been trying to see if this issue occurs without running WoW, but I can't replicate it. I'm not sure what the issue could be. At first I chalked it up to a crappy mouse (the scroll wheel doesn't work, and Verbatim doesn't support Mac for their mice.... weirdos) but it doesn't have any issues outside of WoW. Any ideas on how I can troubleshoot this would be greatly appreciated - thank you! For my second call, I asked about Siri. I opted for waiting music of my choice at 3:03 p.m. and was on the phone with John in New Mexico at 3:05. John, a friendly and to-the-point representative, pulled up the relevant article and walked me through the steps by 3:07 p.m..
