For makushita and below, the 7th sumo wrestler usually takes 15 days at the main tournament. However, due to the balance of rest wrestlers in all stages, eighth sumo wrestling may be organized (mainly for wrestlers with 5 losses or more). In terms of treatment, from the position of makushita, you can wear Hakata obi (Hakata woven obi) and winter coat, and you will be allowed to wear bangasa and janome umbrellas. Sumo wrestlers with wild hair (including those who make their debut) are expected to advance faster than their hair grows. A system that gives preferential treatment to sumo wrestlers who have achieved excellent results during their student/amateur days.
